by Armando M. A new edition of the IFBB European Children Fitness Championships took place in Budapest (Hungary), recent October 28th to 30th, organized by the Hungarian Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation, chaired by Mr. Itsvan Huber.
With 7 age categories (5 for girls and 2 for boys) the event allowed the audience to discover and enjoy the future Fitness stars, from 5 y.o. to 15 y.o. when young athletes goes to junior categories. In overall, it took part 76 athletes from 8 different countries: Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine and the hosting country, Hungary.
The champions were as follows:
Up to 7 years old: Katerina Kuzmova (Slovakia)
From 8-9 years old: Szelina Vaczkó (Hungary)
From 10-11 years old: Dorka Gobbles-Szabo (Hungary)
From 12-13 years old: Nelli Novodomnska (Slovakia)
From 14-15 years old: Regina Benko (Hungary)
Up to 12 years old: Damian Korecko (Slovakia)
From 13-15 years old: Kazmeir Ai Riza (Turkey)
BEST TEAM AWARD:
Gold: Slovakia (81 points)
Silver: Hungary (72 points)
Bronze: Ukraine (42 points)
